midi?????

hey... i am fairly new to VJing and i want to know what hardware do i need to use the midi features. (I have a midi capable keyboard, but i guess i need a card for my pc and cables, which are they).

and how can i benefit from midi features..

there are some other programs that take advantage of midi right?

If you are on a PC, most sound cards have a joystick port on them that doubles as a MIDI port. You'll need a midi->gameport cable though. I scored a midi to gameport breakout box (1 midi in, 3 midi out) on ebay for $12. So, all you should need is one of those midi to gameport cables, a MIDI cable, the MIDI keyboard, and your PC. If your soundcard doesn't have a game port, you can get a USB->MIDI converter, but that'll cost you a bit more.
