For hdmi capture in high quality format , apple prores, avid, i use atomos ninja2, it works fine.
A cheap solution for mp4 capture is 'avermedia lgp live gamer portable. It works fine, standalone with sdcard storage, or connected to a pc....
I think it can be used as video input in resolume, like a webcam, but never tested....
