I think your better to use at least 2 or 3 projectors.
Anything under 6000 lumen is inexpensive in relation to anything brighter.
You should even be able to find a couple of inexpensive models in the 4000+ lumen range.

This is an inexpensive model i have installed before.

No one would show up and try to provide audio reinforcement for a stage that size with a pair of home theatre speakers, so why do you think you can try to video map a stage that size and compete with all those stage lights with a 3000 lumen home theatre projector?

Thanks Again Everyone! Like I said before this is all NEW(mapping, projectors, etc...) to me and I really appreciate the time and comments as they are helping me find the the right projector(s) for the stage environment.

Something like what creativeht posted is in the budget range. I can probably spend 1,500-2,000 per projector. Do you guys have any other suggestions in the price range with brightness being 4000 lumens +

Thanks Again!!!

You might want to look at the used projector market. Something like this.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Eiki-LC-XT4-12 ... SwinZbDyg7

or this with a used panasonic projector

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Panasonic-Ultr ... 1438.l2649

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Panasonic-PT-D ... 1438.l2649

You will need all the extra lumens you can afford to compete with the light output onstage. You don't see stars when the sun's out and you won't see your projection if it doen't have enough lumens to punch through your stage lighting. If you do go the 3-5k lumen route, go with high contrast graphics/video if in unsavory low lumen situations and perhaps only project on the top 1/3 to 2/3 with proper graphics that look right in the space if you have people in front of the screen.

You can get a little extra bump within Resolume with the Brightness/Contrast effect as well.

Good luck

Take a look at the link in this post I wrote a couple of years ago. You can enter all the variables and it'll give you a theoretical brightness expressed in footlamberts. If you use rear projections, I would recommend using a value of 0.6 for screen gain. As I wrote in my notes in the spreadsheet:
"Note: ""Sufficiently bright"" has been defined by Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) in standard 196M as 12-22 footlamberts (41 - 75 cd/m2), though often 16 footlamberts is taken as the nominal goal.

For video projection, we'll assume that:
- below 12 footlamberts depends on the application but is not recommended
- 12-22 footlambert is OK
- above 22 footlambert is ideal"
