How much video per Composition?

Hi
Sometimes it's easier to just ask:
I want to use longer videos with effects on layers above.
I also want to have different videos in different Columns in a Composition
Then I can seamlessly shift form Column to Column for variation
Question:
Will all the videos in the Composition have to be loaded into RAM, or will Resolume only need the file playing in a given Column? (Or even better if it just streams from disk)..?
