turn vertical/portrait videos 90°

Post by p8guitar »

Sometimes I have clips in vertical/portrait orientation instead of the usual horizontal/landscape orientation.
When I want to view these vertical videos turned 90° in Resolume, is it recommended to turn them with another app (imovie?) and save the file before loading it in Resolume, so that resolume doesn't need any cpu resources to turn the video?
And which app would you use? imovie is very restricted in its output format/size.

It makes absolutely zero difference whether you use the rotation param of the first Transform effect or pre-rotate in a different app.

We still have to render the same amount of pixels, we just have to use a different set of values for the corner points.
