More than stereo? Suggestions...

Post by Zinim78 »

Hello....
I have a show that has to have at least three audio channels that are synched perfectly.
I know resolume does not output more than stereo, and I’m looking for a solution for triggering either way from Arena to audio app or from audio app to Arena.
Also from my experience, on macOS at least, I can’t use the same sound device on resolume and other software at the same time.
So... any suggestions for a stable and reliable workflow?
Thanks 🙏🏻.

i would sugest is to use the Audio as main and make resolume follow via smpte

so you ll need to find a player to play the 3 audio files and then add a 4th audio smpte layer to feed into resolume..

Thanks,
Is there in you're opinion any advantage for SMPTE as opposed to trigger clips using MIDI mapping?
is it more reliable or faster? For me MIDI would be a simpler and more flexible workflow that requires less preparations.
Thoughts?

you start a clip vs you start a clip ;)

the only feature of smpte is that you can made the clip follow the speed instead of just trigger the start... if you dont need that you can use midi as well..
