resize output for small LED installations

Post by knee »

Hi,

I use element labs stuff as my display medium. Pretty low res LED video/light fixtures which can be configured in any way. The input is dvi but the image to be displayed on the VersaTubes is always a small little box say 100x200 pixel resolution, offset to 100x100 on the dvi screen (typical setup).

I really like resolume but am wondering if its possible to offset and resize my output in odd ways, such as above, using resolume. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Also its usual that I have multiple little windows on the same dvi screen with different content programmed to appear on different arrays of the fixtures, is that possible? Multiple little boxes of video on the same screen?

thanks in advance,
CourtnKnee

you may change the resolution in the configuration file.

i don't know what is your system...does the led display have a small application that grab part of the screen ? if is you may whan't to grab some app to make "custom" resolutions to your second DVI

i already did this here:

yes the aspect ratio of your installation is very similar.
I can program installations of different aspect ratios with the element contrl box, the Versa Drive.
Here are a couple of link to some Versatube installs to give you an idea.

You help in figuring out how to make Resolume output custom resolutions is much appreciated.

links.

as you can see the product is very flexible and but I always have fairly low resolutions.

Thanks in advance for your help.
