I would say, there are a lot of people using Avenue to do video mapping...
e.g. here however thanks to the new keystone plugins, you may not need photoshop any longer ;)

I don't know how video mapping is done with M8, sorry.

But just play a clip per layer and apply the Keystone / Mask effect to each layer --> you're done!

Thanks yes I just found out today that avenue can do it, but unfortunately I cant use avenue because of the graphic card limitations, currently using older version of resolume

You can stream resolume2.4 into VVVV via bigfug Memory streaming plugin and map via VVVV. I have done this at multiple parties. boom
Asus build - intel 2.8GHz T9600, 4GB 800Mhz DDR2, ATI 4670
Rack unit - intel 2.7GHz q6600, 8GB 1066Mhz DDR2, 9800GTX+, intensity HDMI input card

Maybe I use the wrong PNGs or wrong settings in ResAv. I'm quite a noob but I followed al the tut's posted on this forum... Does anyone have an idea how to get this working. Please post a tutorial in wich layer, wich settings and how to...

are you dragging them from the file browser or are you dragging them from your desktop / another place and dropping them straight into the mask slot?

He guys,

This photoshop tutorial is quite working for me. I'd followed all the steps but the mask doesn't seem to fit..
This is what I did:
1) create a new PS-file 640*480
2) Dragged the window to my second output (projector)
3)I drew round a brick in the wall i'm projecting on using pen tool
4) Created mask.png from the drawing
5) I'd loaded mask.png in ResAv

After loading the mask in ResAv it seems to me that the mask has shifted about -14 pix on X and -25 pix on Y

Anyone has an idea how to fix this, wrong output in photoshop or what??
Please help me many thnx

Henryj

check with the navigator of your photoshop if you are @ 100%, you have to remove the menus from your second screen, be in full page and at 100%, is it your case?

Hey

We have been doing our mapping projects using resolume. you can easily mix 15-20 layers. Resolume 3.1.3 is now really powerful tool for mapping. Please see the video of our art installation using resolume.
