Yeah sure make fun of it, I wanna see you sweating your balls off doing a 10.000+ festival mainstage, Jamie Jones playing and not being able to see that damn slider knowing your MBP will be stuck for half a minute if you click on the wrong spot because you can't see a damn thing...
IT IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING FUNNY

Yes some GUI changes would be nice and make things easier, but it's kind of crazy a 10k person event wouldn't provide sufficient covering for FOH. Maybe just as crazy you wouldn't advance and/or bring something with you to a show like this to be sure your equipment doesn't get fried in the heat. How could you possibly do a 10k person event without knowing the setup ahead of time?

Oaktown offered what is probably the best solution for now, until they make GUI changes in R5

Hey Yuckfou,
....I have to say...Empyfree's workaround is definitely a working workaround.
Especially on bigger festivals a proper foh should have a roof anyway to save the operating equipment.

And to say it...yes...the scrollbar should have a adjustable colour! ...

Greetings

This is Holland we have 800+ festivals throughout the summer and a 10.000+ event isn't that special, but I agree it's stupid, at first there wasn't any FOH at all, but declining to work from the side of the stage made they fixed something so we could stand in the field, but with no covering and it won't be the only time this summer, I've had loads of them last year....

Good point but let's say you only use the "Invert Colors" option, all you have to do is use the "Invert RGB" video effect on your composition and you're set.
This is a wonderfully convoluted solution and I love it. I have never tried, so do you know roughly the steps for PC Oaktown?

Open Magnifier, click on Options, check [Turn on color inversion] and minimize Magnifier.

Well that totally works, and its fun! Unfortunately the contrast still isn't very high, I'll have to try it on the next outdoor gig. Cheers

It's a bloody shame we have to use this kind of work around to get something simple as this done...
This weekend same problems again, not in the full blistering sun but on the beach and again I had to watch real closely to find the slider, but I get used to it and the weekend was total awesomeness
