Just like Solid Color is available as both an effect and source, I would love to have Stroboscope available as an effect. It seems like the current Strobe effect is really half of a Stroboscope anyways, no?
You can recreate the look of the Strobe Source with two Solid Color Effects, and setting the blend mode of the second one to TimeSwitcher. The opacity will then control how fast you strobe the second color over the first.
