Drag n drop multiple clips to same column

when drag-n dropping multiple clips to the decks from the browser or outside arena,
it would be very nice to have ALT as modifier to be able to drop the clips into a single column, on different layers.

nice, but how do I make the clips start from any layer other than layer1?

The whole purpose of this would be that no re-arranging of the clips would be necessary, you could see exactly where the clips will land starting from a given slot, and they also could create missing layers just like multiple clips create the necessary columns now.
