Please make DXV Windows friendly

Hi,

If I may, I would humbly like to make a suggestion.
DXV files on PCs running Windows are a bit of a pain to deal with. They dont play in Windows Media player. They dont even play in VLC Player. They also dont have thumbnails in explorer.
Currently, PC users have to use Adobe Bridge to deal with their DXV libraries and play back DXV files with Quicktime, which on a PC, is less than a fun experience.

Could you spare a thought next time you rebuild your DXV codec to include some more windows friendly features please.

Thanks for everything

Mikey

I know its been posted before, but its still a retarded workflow on Windows, even after the DXV 3.01 release.
Is there a quicklook plugin or 3rd party app that we can use to create thumbs on PC?

Cheers

@eyebyte, why don't you download QuickTime and make it the default software for that type of files?

Is there some secret to getting thumbnail view of DXV encoded movies in XnView (instead of QuickTime icon)? I have not been able to get it to read DXV yet.

I'm not sure why, but they just shows for me. Everyone, who I know really surprised about it.

Maybe it's K-lite codec pack, or something else in my standart installation.

@dirtyjohn_lv - Assuming you have Quicktime installed on your computer, make sure it's set as your default software to open .mov Quicktime files (which is what DXV files are).
