From what I watched this looks normal to me. You selected a clip (which position in the comp was loaded into memory) then when you selected a blank column within a layer (which is NOT a clip) I believe you are assuming this position is now loaded into memory, but since it's not a clip it is not loaded into memory. so when you click the previous button Resolume acts as it should and loads the previous clip of where the last clips placeholder was left off from (position from memory).
Try inserting a blank source and that should get you going, since that will actually have an id with a placeholder that can be loaded into memory. That should get you the result you are looking for.
Yes indeed ... I would expect that the next or previous clip is getting launched outgoing from the position which is selected in the clip deck... and not from a position which is not visible for me anymore
Indeed the behavior in your video is the expected one: if you disconnect all clips in the layer, the next clip button will start the first clip in the layer, the prev button will start the last one.
If there is a clip playing in a layer, that has an Index. If there is an Index the next/prev functions can start looking from indexes from this position.
Empty slots don't have indexes, they are only empty placeholders, allowing you to drop, and paste onto them. They also are not stored in the composition, as there is nothing about them to store.
Using a blank source could do what you'd like.
