Saving visual feedback

Post by djrummer »

Hi!

I have started using a keystroke remote to CTRL S save my compositions - but - i never know if its actually saving.

Is there ( or can there be ) a visual / haptic feedback to show that the comp is being saved?

**** ORRRRRR ****

can we please please please have the option to have auto backups?
yeah, this discussion again. more two cents from me.

I understand how that would be bad for people in live settings.
but as someone that builds entire shows , losing any sort of work sucks.
"but you should save often"
yes. but also, its almost 2021. If I work in a program that has the ability to crash without notice, and not have autosave, it feels ridiculous. Even just a single backup file every 5 minutes would be a godsend. We're creatives, and having to make sure we save after ever 'awesome creation' seems so counter productive. (why i have a giant ass button just to save now) but still, i have NO IDEA if it's actually saving!

for those that don't want autosave, have it able to be turned off.
for those that do, please allow us to have it.

:)

Having the info bar at the bottom (with the version #, clock and system stats, flash green for a second then fade would be nice. and a auto save feature with a drop down menu for time would be nice.

I agree.

I just feel like something as crucial and easy as saving shouldn't be a guessing game.

even if I'm using the remote to save - i dont know if it saved.
When i quit - I also have to save and quit because i dont know if it saved.

I love so much about this software, but saving seems incredibly overlooked.

I feel like we should be set up to win. Not set up to "eh.... we'll see!"

I love this idea. I constantly find myself hitting ctrl+s multiple times before closing, and then usually also hitting save and quit as well just to be safe.

You could have pref settings as well. Everything from "OFF" to frequent, and as many as you like. Sort by time (and project).
