Hi there,
i cant install xp on my lapod because dont have the drives of my HD, its made only for vista because its te faster one, its a bull sheet but its true... in other way, if you have a solution for resolume dont break please tell me...
I had the same Problem with my hd and XP. The problem isnt hard to fix though, i even found a guide to dual booting for my laptop (dell xps). The Reason you cant install or use XP is a feature which is called SATA AHCI Support. Its a new feature which cant be used by xp untill you have installed the needed driver software, in my case some intel controller drivers.

You need to disable the AHCI support in your Laptop BIOS, you also may need to change a setting before your able to that, called Flash memory support or something like that...

After you've disabled this feature in your BIOS you should be able to install XP, install the needed drivers and enable the AHCI feature in your BIOS.
*note ( you wont be able to dualboot after installing xp on a seperated partition if you have first installed vista. XP overwrites the vista boot.ini or whatever its is called.

Ah well http://www.syschat.com/dual-boot-vista- ... ml?garpg=1 here a guide or use google.

Ive been helped quickly at the dell forum, and must say XP is really 60% faster on my laptop.
Might be all the crappy software on Vista or dell stuff. But dualbooting xp just for resolum is just much more stable and much more fun to use.

sorry,i know its off topic

i agree, the best setup (both on mac and pc) is to have 2 partitions. so on a PC if you are (stuck!) on vista, a second partition with XP is the best way to go (my opinion anyway!). a clean XP without any additionnal drivers (ex: no print drivers), no extra FONTS, nothing else running and installed than the software you need for your LIVE gig. and you keep it always clean !

on the main partition you have your production tools (ex : pshop, premier, all the fonts...).

take some time to set it up but it's worth it ! after that if you have an external HD the best thing is to clone (ghost) your VJ partition and keep a clean backup somewhere safe !

I think more multiscreen support would be good even building supprt for somthing like the avs 8x8 maxtix switch a very cheap 8x8 matri with simple serial control http://www.hacs.com/avs-8x8.php. most maxtix switches on the market have rs 232 serial control it would be a good addition to include this type of control in resoulme, think of the possibities for multiscreen and video walling.

Tips? Just install it and run resolume.exe. ;)
I've no problem with 2.41 on Vista (32-bit). - Did you run into problems?

Yes, in the next month R3 will be released... why is that a bad thing?
