Decent mapping of individual videos or layers

Post by 1000errors »

hello, i know this alot to ask but here are a few things that I would like to see in future versions of resolume.
First would be the ability to skew indvidual video clips or layers something like how modul8's new mapping module works http://www.modul8.us/?p=428
and something like this as well http://www.artificialeyes.tv/node/769 .
I would also like to have more control in the way the mirroring effect works, something I posted before aksing someone to help me with. Image
I would also like to be able to specify how many times a video is tiled for the horizontal and vertical tilling independantly. eg if i could choose to tile a video 6 times horizontally but only 2 times vertically ect.

thats about it for now. thanks alot

With the present effects in Avenue you could use:

Keystone effect on layer level/clip level to map on 3D objects
The Tile effect let you choose how to tile your video, x-y seperated...

Maybe this isn't what you mean, but I think it will come close.
desktop: Windows 7 home premium 64 bit, MSI 870A-G54, AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition, 4Gb RAM (GVP34GB1600C9DC), NVidia GTX 560
laptop: Windows 7 home premium 32 bit, Core2duo 2Ghz, 4Gb Ram, NVidia 9600m GT

@GeeES

The tile effect doesn't work the way you would expect.
I also need a tile effect where you can say: 2y and 6x with result of having 2rows and 6collumns. the current tile effect can NOT do this, neither can the videowall effect.
see my post from last week: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7203

for see 2 images in mirror, you can put the zoom of image at 50%, then use mirror effect, with these parameters: x 0.50 y 0.00 in/out 0.50

to see 4 images, same as before, but with y 0.50

to see 4x4, so 16 images, you have to add after mirror a videowall effect, with those parameters:
opacity, screens, zoom: 1.00
rotates, pans: 0.50
subscreensize: 0.70
subscreenmode, gabsize, brigtnessvary: 0.00

not yet try how to see 6 for 2 images or others strange proportions

Thank you for this Takehiko. It is always very useful when someone else does the Maths! I am sure this will come in very useful . .
