Hi,

are there plans to add an undo function to Avenue?

The thing about this is that in an application that is used in live situations, an undo feature should be handled extremely cautiously. Of course we realize how handy this could be, but it's not as straight forward as you'd think. For instance changes made to the size of a clip by audio FFT would register as undoable actions, which is not really what you're looking for. I hope that explains a bit where we stand with this ;-)

Hi Joris,

thanks for sharing your view. I see that R3 is a live tool, and adding undo functionality seems to be tricky.

What about adding a few switches to the preferences allowing to select which input (per source) should be added to the undo-history.
For example:
Keyboard input,
Mouse input,
MIDI input,
OSC input, etc.
everything else should not be subject for undo...

Important things for undo might be:
delete things like clips, FX, layer
changes of FX parameters

as a first step an undelete function would be great ;)

Save the comps.
We don't need an undo function.
And I say PLEASE.

I would more likely see an CTRL+C / CTRL + V Function for layer or clip properties / effects or even whole layers.
