+1 again.

Would be cool if it was just up /down two buttons and left/ right two buttons and went in increments of column and layers!! Seems simple enough, squeeze that into 4.0.2?? hope hope! :]

Please we need this feature. I decided to bring this thread back since I believe this is very essential and important.
we want to free ourselves from using muse/trackpads.
It will also make performance more intuitive.

But what is important here is not to make the scroll bar midi mapped only but also to make the clips bank visible for the selected layer, rather than having to use the trackpad/mouse. Will try to explain if it is not clear.

For example.
I have a composition with 8 layers and use an APC40 as a MIDI controller, I have layer 1 selected and visible (the clips bank), selecting layer 8 on my APC40 does not update the clips bank to layer 8, so I need to use the trackpad/mouse to scroll up to layer 8.

Please guys, let's all keep asking for this feature so they might consider incorporating in future updates.

My work around has being using Bomes to map a knob to a scroll wheel. This gives you horizontal scrolling. Sadly it only does horizontal or vertical. Not both. Look forward to when the lads get around to it.

+ 1

And while you do that, also make it listen to an OSC command. 8-)
