It's made my Smithson Martin:

I don't have a touch device but would love to hear good things about it first.

I do. Software only.
It works great on my 23" Acer touchscreen.

Easy to create custom interfaces.
Used in combo with CopperLAN

Go get one, or even two .
Large ones are pretty cheap nowadays.
Maybe its just me, but having a bigger screen/user interface is a benefit.
Compared to my TouchOSC on iPad, customizing is easier and not limited to 10".

Broke down and purchased the Acer T32HL 22 inch Touch Screen Monitor and so far it's working well. It's USB 3.0, responsive, 1080 and the stand makes it very easy to change the tilt. Purchases new for $300 but I've seen them refurbished on NewEgg for $200.

I'm testing Emulator Pro running over Resolume. My goal is a self running interactive touch screen for a private event. Interactive is what people want to see so Emulator is a great way to build custom touch panels.

One really cool feature of Emulator is Pages. You can place buttons to cycle through Pages that can be set up to show different sets of touch controls. I can build controls to only show certain Clip, Layer or Composition effects.

I'm going to share my final Emulator Template here when I have a basic one done. Please feel free to share or chat up your experiences using these two programs in sync.
