Thinking about going SSD

Post by rawdesigns »

I currently have a 720GB Hybrid Hard Drive which runs great but after hearing all the rave how much better SSD's are I'd like to upgrade. Most times after running resolume for over a couple hours it seems to lag, do any of you think this would help resolve this problem by swapping out my old hard drive for an SSD? Here's a link for the the one I'm currently looking at. Thanks!

You would definitely notice some major differences once you upgrade to SSD's. Sometimes its kind of difficult to explain these differences in words but its just snappier.

yeah I've done a lot of research and the Samsung 840 series has some crazy read and write speeds!
4KB Random Read: Up to 97,000 IOPS
4KB Random Write: Up to 63,000 IOPS
and for 500gb of storage its a great price; I don't think i'll be able to find anything better. Thanks!
