What do our esteemed moderators/Res developers use on the PC side of things??

Both Bart and Edwin have since updated to rMBPs.

One of the Windows boxes is now running Win 8, while the other has had its two Radeon 6900s replaced with a single 7970.

I've used it with a large Asus external multi touch monitor. It works but it didn't feel intuitive to me(YET). Using a Lemur with an ipad had a better flow for myself. I think it boils down to personal taste and experience. Yes, it works and I didn't experience any issues.

I helped a few other tour VJ's transition to Resolume from Modul8 and found that the majority like the apc 40 with composition>clip target set to active layer.

This was mainly used because they still like selecting a layer and freely grabbing any clip on the apc 40's grid instead of working on a layer sorting.

Yeah thats how I see myself working aswell! And yeah can see how that function plus the APC 40 that I already have would be perfect, but looking at something for triggering as I won't use a mouse for performance. TBH I have to look into keyboard shortcuts as I can probably work around the triggering with that like I do in M8

Even though I have spoke to Morph in person about the Issue, I think safety is the best issue. Also the point you raised about the ease of switching drives in macs if the machine dies on you.

As I have gone over with you, running a seperate osx partition just running resolume and just what ever vjing tools you need lead to a nice stable resolume install.
