BMD Decklink Mini Monitor

I see that Avenue 4 is one of supported applications by BMD Decklink Mini Monitor but I don't see Arena 4.

I need to send one of the video outputs via HD-SDI to a NewTek Tricaster 455 for a broadcast so would I be able to output through the BMD Decklink Mini Monitor just like I would with a normal monitor/projector?

What about the Decklink Duo or the Decklink Studio?

All VJ apps don't support sdi out of black magic devices. Just buy a HDMI to HD-SDI adapter.

So it works with Avenue 4 but not with Arena 4?

I've looked at the BMD DVI Extender but I was hoping I could output the SDI signal using the BMD Decklink Mini Monitor.

All BlackMagic products work with both Avenue and Arena. BM just doesn't know there's a difference between them.

Note that neither Avenue nor Arena are currently able to *output* over BM devices, only input is supported.

Actually Arena is mentioned specifically. Admittedly you have to dig for it ;)
VJ Tools
Resolume software supports all UltraStudio capture and playback products straight out of the box! With UltraStudio and Resolume you can capture and play back any QuickTime and AVI video files, as well as Flash animations and text overlays with your WAV and AIFF audio files. With Resolume Arena you can even use SMPTE timecode captured by UltraStudio to synchronize clips with lasers, lights, fireworks displays or anything you can imagine for the most mind blowing VJ performances!

Thanks Joris,

So that means I'be able to select the BMD Decklink Mini Monitor in the advanced output, right? And I'd be able to set the resolution of the SDI signal to any of the SD/HD formats supported. What about embedding audio on the SDI signal?

Also based on another post, you can't output to an I/O BMD card that you are getting an input, did I get that right?

Joris,

I just realized you had two posts so now my understanding is that I can't output to the BMD Decklink Mini Monitor, right?

Technically it's should work.
