How to ensure that Windows 10 keeps its projector and display settings?

Post by gpvillamil »

I'm having a very annoying problem. I'm using a Lenovo desktop with 2x nVidia M2000 graphics card and Arena 5. We have connected 4 projectors (3 walls + floor) and obviously a control monitor.

The annoying thing is that every time the computer starts, the assignment of projectors to outputs changes. Most annoying is when the primary monitor shifts to one of the projectors.

Fortunately it is fairly easy to reassign displays in Resolume advanced output, but I would really love for this to be a turnkey solution so that other colleagues can start the system.

Anyone know of a way to force Windows to keep its display and projector assignments?

Super weird, sounds like some sort of dynamic edid in the projectors is bugging things out.

Have you tried an Edid spoofer (DVI Detective) on all the projector outs?

Get one of these- only $40!

It's an HDMI extender with EDID which records what kind of projector is there.
I've turned the projector on and off, Resolume and Windows think it's still there at startup.
