Just spotted this online. Its a modular MIDI controller that allows you to build and configure a controller any way you want. Looks like it will be launching on Kickstarter soon. It'll be interesting to see how much it'll be. http://special-waves.com
Yes!! I came across this last week and signed up to be alerted when it is made available on Kickstarter. If these work the way they're supposed to, the potential is fantastic. Things like this have been tried before. I have my hesitation about being an early adopter, but am very curious about the price point at which they place this device. I would definitely like to see the smaller layout available for $250-$300, but I don't know if its possible for a smaller company to produce it that cheaply.
Nice Find!
I'm very interested in this. Was looking into getting one of these: http://www.midifighter.com/#twister-features
in a couple months, but I love how the Waves has the push encoders as well PLUS the option to customise and place other keys anywhere. I think I'm going to hold off for a while and look into the Waves.

Thank you for the find
I was considering the Twister, as well! My setup is almost entirely based on audio reactivity and am currently using a MIDIMix alongside a Novation Launch Control XL. Needless to say, I love having a high number of knobs/faders for effect sensitivity. The Twister seems to be incredibly well-made, but the thought of having one of these customizable controllers with a slew of knobs with a couple pads for selection makes me want to wait it out. I can't seem to find anything that hints at how long that wait may be, though.
