Best Bang for the Buck Workstation

Post by sub6 »

Hi,

atm I have to decide between the following options, can some fingerpoint the best solution for a 8 FHD output setup (at least 4 Outputs Framesynced). For some Inputs the BMD Card is added.
  1. HP Z8 G4
    + 2x Intel Xeon 4114 (10x 2,2 GHz)
+ 64 GB ECC reg. RAM
    + 512 GB Z-Drive
    + 1x Nvidia Quadro P2000
    + 2x GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
+ Blackmagic Design DeckLink Duo 2
    + 4x 8 TB SATA HDD
  2. HP Z8 G4
    + 2x Intel Xeon 5118 (12 x 2,3 GHz)
+ 64 GB ECC reg. RAM
    + 512 GB Z-Drive
    + 2x Nvidia Quadro RTX4000
+ 1x Quadro Sync II Card
+ Blackmagic Design DeckLink Duo 2
    + 1x 1 TB SATA SSD
  3. Custom Build by Supplier
    + 1x Intel Xeon W-2145(8 x 3,7 GHz)
+ 64 GB ECC reg. RAM
    + 256 GB PCIe M.2 SSD
    + 2x Nvidia Quadro P4000
+ 1x Quadro Sync II Card
+ Blackmagic Design DeckLink Duo 2
    + 1x 960 GB PCIe M.2 SSD
I tend towards the 2nd Build. All are around the same prize. A real DIY Custom Build is sadly no Option.

The decesion has to be made on monday  :? . Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks!

PS: Also some other Software will be used on the WS, for example Davinci Resolve, MadMapper, Adobe Premiere/After Effects, so a good overall solution would be great.
