Post by CitySinner »

I want to buy a new laptop...After a lot of thought I led in this two...

1) HEWLETT PACKARD Pavilion ZD8256EA
Intel Pentium 4 640 3.2GHz
1024MB
100GB ATA 100 , 256MB dedicated
ATI X600
€ 1999.00

2) 15-inch PowerBook
1.67GHz PowerPC G4
512ÊÂ L2 cache
512MB DDR2 SDRAM PC2-4200 333MHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 AGP 4X 128 ÌÂ DDR SDRAM
€ 1 807.00

Of course i'd like to hear and any other opinion...
any suggestions???:jump2:
(Should i look for a centrino??)

There are a few 'known issues' with Resolume on the mac

1.There is no mac version
2.There is no mac version

:P

If it's for anything else well then it's just the mac v pc debate. I'd choose the pc personally but I do use macs and have nothing against them.

from a point of view
with the new osx86 thing
you can have multiple os including mac os x on your brand new hardware :)

from my point of view
I can use any hardware depending what I am doing
but
to be honest
as I have a old and long relation with microsoft based systems
I feel myself much more comfortable with em

everything got its own cons and pros
the thing is deciding what you or your job needs :)

bw

ps: before buying hardware
I strongly recommend you to check out the

alienware
pctorque

they are ofering very good systems for pros :)
