Hi,
i wanted to ask what do you use the piano keys for? are they assigned to the clips on a deck?

I'm asking coz i'm about to buy a midi controller and i cannot decide which one i want. I right now use resolume 2.3 or 2.41 and bfc 2000 controller and im thinking of this controller or evolution uc 33e or akai mpd 24 or microkontrol. but could not figure out what i can use the piano keys for.

hi, i use them for the effects (R 2.4), but i'm not sure many people do (may be wrong)...i like to play the piano like an instrument, visually speaking ;)

hi,

I use both the nanoKEY and nanoKontrol .... the nanoKEY to change between one column and another, and NANOKONTROL to control the layers...(blend effects...)
I link the rotary of nanoKontrol to the dashboard to control the effects of the composition.

.... but as Julie says, the KEY are very weak ... they break easily...the Kontrol is better...

some of you have tried NANOPAD? as used with Resolume?

bye!

I just purchased the Korg nanoKONTROL for Resolume 3.1.3, VJ'ing on a Dell N530 Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2180, 2.0 GHz, 3.25GB RAM, Nividia GeForce 8600GT graphics card Desktop PC. I am learning MIDI language to program the KONTROL to Resolume for mapping. I will be purchasing the Korg nanoPAD tomorrow to test with my Korg nanoKONTROL controller in Resolume. I am open to uploading data sets for scene templates once I get a feel for these two MIDI controllers. I am also open to anyone else uploading their Resolume Application/Composition Mapping files along with Korg nano Sereies MIDI controller templates.

By chance I noticed this thread again (not getting notices anymore), and just wanted to let some of you know that there is another mini piano alternative to the nanokey, if one is interested (I'm using it and it works fine and has real piano keys!): AKAI LPK25 http://www.akaipro.com/lpk25

@Abe - Sorry, but I'm not using the NanoPad and I've never had problems midi mapping in general. However, if you want someone to help you, provide more info, like the type of computer you use, etc., etc.

Sidenote: From time to time my "midi" & "fx" .xml files get corrupt when exiting 2.4 and so when this happens, I have original back-ups of them and copy them into their respective folders before starting Resolume again; for example, "C:\User\julie\My Documents\Resolume 2.4\settings" and "C:\User\julie\My Documents\Resolume 2.4\settings\midi".
