Standard Macbook pro good enough for avenue?

Post by vide0junki3 »

Hey,
I'm new to Vjing, have my first gig coming up and need some advice on a laptop/

Is the 13" Macbook Pro good enough to run resolume comfortably?

13-inch: 2.53GHz
Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB Memory
250GB hard drive1
SD card slot
Built-in 7-hour battery2
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics

What do people do to get a composite out? has the cable/adaptor problem been overcome?

would any of these work? if someone who is using a macbook pro and scanconverter could give me a url to a few recommended/tested scanconverters that would be great :)

instead of Standard Macbook pro with 9400m geforce, which uses ram for graphics memory you can also buy a normal new macbook... should be the same performace in resolume...
i hate the new macbook series - just my thought ;)

This one is recommended by a few folks on vjforums.com.

It's generally a good idea to check out the several threads they have on the subject there: http://vjforums.com/showthread.php?t=30431

get the MBP that has the GT9600 video card, then you have dedicated video ram, it's worth the extra cost
