Motu HD Express in resolume?

Post by teens4christgirl »

Has anyone tried this out? Would like to capture an SD and an HDMI source and edit them in resolume.

I know a guy who has a MOTU working as an input to R4, I'll send him a message of this thread, see what he's got to say.

Thanks sticky, Yeah so working on this now, got a Dell m6600, and had the Matrox MXO2 working in R3, but now it does not work in R3 at all, cannot bring up settings or add to clip layer without it crashing.

The Mxo2 stopped working when Blackmagic Shuttle was installed. Shuttle is now uninstalled and not plugged in yet R3 still crashes when trying to do anything with the MXO2. Reinstalled both mxo2 and R3 yet still crashes. MXO2 works fine with Matrox utility still.

Wondering if the Motu is more stable. The Shuttle works good, hoping to get another 1080 source, Motu may be the only hope for this sort of set up. May also try R4, any ideas?

EDIT- got it working, but it has too much delay, almost a half a second..

I use a Moto HD Express with Avenue, on a MacBook Pro, and it works quite well. Normally I connect the output of another Macbook and it works great. The device sometimes requires a few resets to get it going (a bit annoying), but it is reasonably stable in my experience. The image quality of the input signal is very good. However it is a little buggy... since my HDMI-out camera now refuses to be recognized as an input. I had it working before, but it stopped working for an unknown reason. But the laptop signal input works well, and the lag is usually not too bad. It also works in Arena. I have actually not yet tested out the analog inputs.

Hope that helps!
