is nVidia GT 425M good enough to work on it?

Hello,
many laptop manufacturers use nVidia GPU - GT425M,
it is DX 11 compatible board, with 1Gb of internal memory.

Will Resolume start on it, and use this gpu for gpu-based features?
Any known issues?

all laptops I found are 15.6"-16.4" equipped with fullHD screen,
intel core i7-740QM processor, USB 3.0, 7200rpm HDD (or SSHD), hdmi, vga and eSATA
and win7hp

i don't think you will have troubles, if you have troubles it only could be the drivers i would say
it should be as fast as an 330M which is used in the new macbook pro's 15,4" and 17"... so it's not the best for multiscreening (but possible i think)... but for single screen setup and maybe 720p resolution it should work just fine

if you want better performance, i won't would save the money on the graphic card for resolume

it is very difficult to find better GPU with other good components inside laptop.

I decided to buy 15,6" size machine.
My first choice was MSI gt680 - with i7 2630 processor and geforce 460M gpu, fullHD screen and 2xUSB3.0,
unfortunately, my order was canceled next day after I placed it because of intel processor problem.
Then I decided to buy MSI gx660 - i7 -740QM, Radeon 5870, but they were sold out and there is nowhere to buy them (in Poland).

So, now it is even more difficult to find laptop which will satisfy my expectations.
If there is good GPU then there is poor CPU or low screen resolution.

I found three models:
ASUS N53JQ (fullHD, i7 740, GT 425m, 1xUSB3, eSATA, HDMI, VGA, full keyboard)
SONY F13SOE/B (fullHD, i7 740, GT 425m, 2xUSB3, eSATA, HDMI, VGA, full keyboard + backlight, ExpressCard, Firewire)
DELL L501x (fullHD, i7 740, GT 435m, 2xUSB3, eSATA, HDMI, no numpad, no VGA, only thru miniDisplayPort)

All of these are all fullHD, same processor, similar GPU, SONY has EC port and firewire and backlight keyboard, Asus has full keyboard and very good price, Dell has a bit faster GPU, but no EC and no firewire ...

i am confused which one to choose

hmm, i think the dell would be best choice...
you have usb 3.0 which is as fast as the ec slot, and there are usb to firewire devices if you really need firewire

the problem would be if u want to use a matrox mxo mini which uses a ec card slot....
the blackmagic one runs on usb 3 for example but has driver problems
..... in case you need a hd video in :p
