Video capture card

Post by diagraf »

Does Resolume 4 support video capture? What would be recommended as a supported capture device? My colleague is working on another computer which is creating generative video. We would like to combine our performances and have his video feed play in a channel in Resolume so I could mix it with my own footage. Is this possible?

Thanks for any help and advice.

We natively support the BlackMagic capture devices for best results.
Check out their Intensity Pro capture card for instance:

Or, if your computer doesn’t support the BMD solutions (which seems to apply to most laptops, including those with USB 3) you can get the Matrox MX02 Mini which after the workarounds described here works fine. Not nearly as ‘nice’ as BMD though, getting support is a pain in the ass whereas BMD are super helpful.
