midi controllers duplicated / effects parameter issues: continue & play direction / forgotten dll

unless it's only my pc_setup, i came across the following:

midi controllers duplicated
-------------------------------
in "preferences", tab "midi mapping", within "controllers", there are 2 duplicated sections for "flashtext speed:" (both 'active layer' & 'layer 1').

also, "flashtext speed: active layer" appears not to be working.

effects parameter issues: continue & play direction
----------------------------------------------------------
various effects do not play "continously" when parameter is set to "continue" mode (within "play" control, have not tested "bpm" control), instead they play in "start over" mode.

within "play" control, play direction (forward/backwards) is not retained in parameter of effect when saved.

dll missing (no biggie)
-------------------------
besides resTimeSwitcher.dll missing from 2.4beta, i think you also forgot resFilmStrip.dll (just copied it from 2.3 pluggin folder)

p.s. bpm control in effects parameter seems to be lagging a bit when clicking quickly on various video clips in channels (switching back and forth between video quickly). however, may just be my pc due to my settings; 720x480avis + 29fps / process 400x300 output 800x600.

yes indeed but unfortunately we can not fix this for the 2.4 final relase because it,s a lot of work (allthough it seems simple it,s not) and we are releasing 2.4 final early this week

i can,t confim this, it works just fine here. also with endless dials.

start over and continue work fine when you use the effect on a clip but we should remove them when an effect is used global because then it indeed does not work.

Works ok here. did it not work on a specific effect?

yes we,ll include the timswitcher in the final. FilmStrip is now called delay film and is much faster then filmStrip so please do not use that one anymore.

your setup is not ideal, if you use a process resolution of 400x300 you videos should also be rendered at 400x300 otherwize resolume needs to first scale the video to 400x300 thus making it a bit slowr.
