Hello :)
Love to have back my Trails effect!
And so many improvements!!!!!!!!

But i'm having some problems with the DXV Codec 2.0.
I'm using Sony Vegas Pro 9, and i can't render loops with DXV Codec,
it gives me this message "an error ocured when converting with a codec"!
I know it works in other software, but thought it might be a useful information.
Tks!

This is fixed, the 3.2 installer is now built with the latest version of Inno installer and installs resolume fine on w7. Thanks for reporting this!

Res Ave 3.2 performed flawlessly last weekend for 3, 4-hour shows. no lockups, and that, on a virgin laptop: - (specs: sony vaio VPCZ1190X - Windows 7 Pro 64bit - 384GB (256GBx1 + 128GBx1) Solid State Drive with RAID 0 - intel core i7-620M - 4GB (4GBx1) DDR3-SDRAM-1066 - NVIDIAGeForce GT 330M GPU (1GB VRAM) )- (so much power from a 3lb 13inch notebook)

outputing 1280x720 to a 30 foot x 10 foot screen via 3, Highend DL3's

alpha DXV adds a whole new dimension to event media. the ability to create looks on the fly, that i would usually pre-produce adds an exciting new element.

i love how individual layer/clip parameters can allow me to stretch content to "correct" aspect ratio squish for logos and content that isn't formated for a superwide projection.... it's the little things...

With Alpha codec and higher quality png, Resolume is becoming the equivalent of a hardware-controlled, LIVE, After Effects app.... the potential is staggering.

kudos on a great release!

yeah, but we still miss the ability of scale the individual clips in a masked layer
(new update, same pipeline).
png masks are usseless if you previously need to create scaled content to fits in it.
Render an alpha dvx video is better, but have the same cons that renders a clip and apply a keyer.
You can't create the mask on the fly.

We are planning to add more flexibility on how the masks are applied. But there is just so many things we can do at a time. With the 3.2.0 release we focused a lot on image quality and ironing out the most persistent bugs and thus improving stability.
For masking we would like to enable the user in the future wether the mask is pre or post compositing and effects. This way a mask can be applied after the clip is scaled, rotated etc or before.
Would that be sufficient in your opinion, or do you have another suggestion?
