IR mapio

Post by deepvisual »

can't seem to get this to work on the mac.
I installed it - fine. v1.1
but no plugin in resolume?
I tried dropping the IRMapio.bundle into the same folder as all the other resolume effects and it came up in the menu, but crashed if I tried to use it..
any ideas?

The better is to contact with Ivan, the creator of the software. He has a good and quick client service...

got to the bottom of it.
its only been tested on 10.6 - snow leopard.
seems it isn't working on 10.5
it works fine on my 'snow leopard' machine and not at all on the regular one.

just installed and tried it on my 10.5.8 MBP, and I get the same thing as you did Deepvisuals, every time i load the IRmapio effect it crashed the resolume application. but if i open IRmapio in applications it opens, but it's useless cause it's not connected to the composition of resolume.

shouldn't have to upgrade to snow leopard for this should I ...?

Apparently, does not work the script of installation IRMapio on 10.5.x.
This script is adding a new folder item to vfx preferences of Avenue, and sets the path for finding MapioEditor.
A little later (today or tomorrow) I'll write instructions on how to do it manually.

In a future release will decide the issue (I will need to find the installition of 10.5.x for tests)

For solving problem on MAC OS X 10.5.X.

1. Install IRmapio by default
check the location of files in the folder "/Applications/IR Mapio/"

2. Launch Avenue. Open the preferences dialog and select the "Video" tab.
add folder "/Applications/IR Mapio/" into the list of directories. Quit Avenue.

3.Download and unzip the attached file "com.irworkshop.Mapio1.plist.zip".
Move file com.irworkshop.Mapio1.plist to folder "<user>/Library/Preferences/"

4.Done. Launch Avenue.
