How to map a star

Any idea of how to map a star? There seems no easy solution like in mad mapper where I have multiple points for Crops. Some ideas or workarounds?

are you in avenue or arena?
don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for but in arena i'd try the advanced output --> output transformation --> edit points and with a few points added you can draw a pretty christmas-star!
another idea would be to create png-masks in photoshop...
