2 GTX 780

Post by AmielG12 »

Will resolume work with 2 Gtx 780 together in one computer? And if they do, will i have all 8 outputs?

You could use MST Display Port 1.2a technology to get 12 displays using an MST Hub on each card.

Also, keep in mind that two GTX 780 in SLI will be awesome!

Hey there...

Just to remind here:
SLI nor crossfire configurations will have any positive performance effect with Resolume.

//Reminder end ;)

No, SLI or Crossfire turns one GPU into a slave and uses it for calculation.

Is that 100% sure. One of my rigs has two R9 270X 1050M 2GB in crossfire and I've consistently by clocking above 80fps in Resolume Arena 4 and it's rock solid with large comps whereas I'll get 60fps when I disable crossfire.

Yes. Never read anything positive about sli or crossfire here in the forum. And as far as I know Resolume does not support it.

If you get 60 fps without and 80 fps with SLI activated while showing nothing in Resolume there must be something else causing your 80 fps. Maybe Win Aero? When I deactivate Aero I get up to 90 fps.

Is your output in windows is set to 60Hz?

Maybe someone from the Resolume support team can enlighten us?

Not sure what you mean by "while showing nothing in Resolume" but the only difference in the setting would that Crossfire is activated in Catalyst

Yes, my last setup was a 3840x1080 comp scaled up into 3 @ 1600x1200 @ 60Hz projectors

I've made a fast search: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8535&p=33439&hilit=crossfire#p33439
Joris: Adding more GPUs to the mix will not increase performance.
