The BPM clock on my Mac Pro stops if I physically add or remove a display while Resolume is open. Performing the same actions on my MacBook Pro has no issues.
Hardware is 2013 Mac Pro D500 6 core. HDMI 1080 to the GUI monitor, and 1080 output via DVI.
Arena 5.0.2 , El Cap 10.11.4
The BPM clock stops and the only way to fix it is restarting Resolume. While it's stopped of course all BPM clips are unusable.
Very reproducible on this machine.

Could it be that the audio output jumps to the embedded audio channel of your HDMI output?
I'd delete the config.xml file as well, just to make sure you're starting with fresh preferences.
