V-Sync

Post by rawdesigns »

How do you guys not get screen tearing with V-sync disabled? If I have V-sync on I don't get any tearing but my fps drop from 120 to 20ish. If I have V-sync off I get excellent fps 120 but my screen tears very badly when fast moving clips or strobe effects are active. Its like you cant have best of both worlds :(

Windows Fall Creators update & Vsync locks me in at 30 fps now. I use to be capped at 60 fps on the 1703 Creators update from earlier this year.

140 fps without Vsync. Windows seems to be going backwards with every Win 10 update.

Just installed the fall creators edition and rolled back my Nvidia drivers to 385.69.

FPS is back to 60.

It seemed like it was an Nvidia driver issue more than anything else.

Im on the Razer Blade GTX 1060.

Yep.

With V-Sync on + Fall creators update + 385.69 Drivers I'm getting a solid 60FPS constant. No screen tearing on strobes.

Even with 2 outputs through USB C to DP 60 FPS.

I'll give it a go after I do a system backup! thanks!
