I use a Alienware 17 r4 with the 1080 and 7820hk and i have no issues with it atm, things a beast, it does more than i need it to and then sum, had a few issues when i bought it with having to disable the intel graphics,and disabling the realtek audio,but now its great!
side note - we use a x4 datapath to get 4 outputs and 1 hdmi gives us 5, otherwise you only get 2 outputs without using a mst hub or something, the tunderbolt3port and usbc ports are all wired into the intel graphics so dont plan on using those to provide video
