Sill fairly new to Resolume and building a set, and I’m just trying to get my head around the rendering system.
I’ve built a 1920x1080 composition with a whole load of 1920x1080 movie clips. I’m now trying to optimise it to run as smooth as possible, and am thinking that 1280x720 is probably a better way to go.
Initially, I’ve change the composition size to 1280x720 and re-scaled the clips to fit, and it doesn’t seem to have made a massive difference.
I also tried converting some clips to 720, but there doesn’t appear to be a significant difference in FPS when playing the larger clips rescaled or the smaller clips.
I guess my question is, how much of a drain is it on the rendering engine to have to re-size larger clips.
ie. will the engine having to downsize the 1080 clips be a significant drain compared to just converting all the clips to 720? (Baring in mind that there will still be some additional tweaking and re-scaling of the 720 clips anyway so it’s still having to do some work).
I hope that makes sense.
Thanks
