Multi-outputs - Arena only?

Post by smackreth »

Hello and sorry for this really basic question, but from reading the difference between avenue and arena I thought that you would be able to run multi-screens from both.
But now that I am working in the trial version (trying to decide whether I need 1 or 2 licenses) the multi-screen view doesn't come up in advanced output.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
Sophie

Depending on what you want to do with the second output the answer is yes and no

It is possible to add a second output in avenue, to do so, go to advanced output and click on the + symbol in the upper left corner below "presets" add a screen and select the appropriate output to it, and here you have a second output and with some very basic mapping you can put your content in place.

If you mean a second slice, in stead of output, working with a LED screen setup that consists of multiple screens the answer is no, as you push one output to the LED processor who cuts it up to the separate screens and you can map all those in the advanced output of Arena, as Avenue lacks this option.
You can read more about this in the manual: https://resolume.com/docs/Resolume-Manual.pdf#page=238
