Black flash after hovering/opening files on main monitor

Post by boris.lema »

Hi all,

I've been searching for a solution for the following problem:
When using an video output, when i open or even hover over a program or file the second monitor gives a fraction of a second black screen, not all the time but still every few seconds.

Already tried:
Ive searched for the "peek" option in system advanced performance, but not there, and selected "best performance" which disables all visual effects of windows. But it keeps doing it.

MSI laptop - windows 10
Latest Nvidia driver

Ive seen this problem on 2 other server machines but cant seem to find any solution for it.

Try download Nvidia Profile Inspector https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfil ... r/releases.

Then edit "Resolume Software" profile.

That solve problem for me.

For me arena check this profile only after installing new drivers.

Even after driver updating this fix stay in resolume profile.

Resolume only checks if the profile exists, you should be able to edit it.
If you do a clean driver install, that will erase the profile, then you can also try to ignore the profile install on Resolume startup to see if that helps.
Software developer, Sound Engineer,
Control Your show with ”Enter” - multiple Resolume servers at once - SMPTE/MTC column launch

I Dont know if that is the solution, i did the enable and indeed no more black-outs.
BUT now im getting random crashes.
Zoltan, i've mailed the crash reports. I will disable it again and see if that fixes the random crashes.

UPDATE,

Re enabling the Nvidia profile resolves the crashes.
Any other work arounds?
