I have a macbook pro, but upon trying to open arena it fails to initialize.
Maybe I need to download this OPENGL v 4.1 thing?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Opengl 4.0 is not something you can download on a machine that doesn't support it unfortunately.
You'd need at least a macbook from 2012 with Nvidia graphics to be able to run Resolume 7.

Which macbook do you have?
Software developer, Sound Engineer,
Control Your show with ”Enter” - multiple Resolume servers at once - SMPTE/MTC column launch

Resolume Arena 7: Application failed to initialize (OpenGL issue)

Post by sooohoooo »

Hi, I'd really appreciate some help!

I have been using the latest Resolume Arena versions with no issue, until today when this popped up upon trying to start the app: Application failed to initialize. Make sure your system meets the system requirements, eg OpenGL version 4.1

I recently switched to Windows 11, but have used Resolume with no issue since then. I am currently running the latest Nvidia Drivers (526.47), although the issue popped up today while I was using the previous nvidia drivers. The new one did not help. I have also tried restarting the PC, uninstalled other recent installations (nothing serious changed with my system since Resolume was last working), and uninstalled/reinstalled Resolume arena, as well as rolled it back to 7.13.1. Here is my system:

Razerblade Stealth 13 Late 2019
GTX 1650 with Max-Q Design (4gb vram)
Intel i7-1065G7 CPU
16 gb Ram

Here is a copy of the Log from my last attempt to boot Arena 7.13.1 (same issue with 7.13.2)

Do you have Resolume assigned to run on the nvidia?

Same problem for me! It used to work fine about a month ago, now the same error appears. This is on a 2018 MacBook Pro 2.6GHz, 16GB RAM, Radeon Pro 560X 4GB. macOS 12.6. Any suggestions?
