I had also some Problem with pngs. When you got the time try to convert them into .mov with DXV. I had big improvments with running stable and resources.

Yes it's a Flash problem it seems.

I created a new Comp, loaded in some DXV decks from other Comps - everything works fine. As soon as a deck is loaded that contains an SWF or an SWF is dragged into a deck, all the previously reported issues happen: no master output, can't play clips, effects don't show etc.
