I artificially cap my FPS to 30 by lowering my X4 units to 30Hz but I don't always have that option and e verything I do is 30FPS so I would love to get my hands on that build

Check the projector resolution in your system control panel or open your GPU user interface panel.

all options i can reach are set to 60p
But as long as Resolume dont have a Problem and work fine i can live with it...

30fps is really great especially when you work with pro live cams and external signals since you're likely not able to sustain a perfectly stable 60fps if you do anything mildly complex in Resolume.

Yes, stable 30fps would be okay.
But i´m still wondering to what my output sync to. I cant find the logic.
Also when i use 4 layers / DXV & 720p content it drops even lower to ~20 fps

Wooohooooo !!!!
I got it
I think within some update the V-Sync was turned on or something like that.
I clicked around in the advanced card settings and at some point i had 120fps. After i search what of the things couse this i would say it is the V Sync option.

So if I understand you correctly, with vsync turned on, you can only play 4 layers at 20 fps. How many can you play with vsync turned off?

I run some test for information and digging deeper:
-- Vsync OFF:
Benchmark 1080p noise / 20 Layers / +/- 30fps / Gpu load 80% (high clock speed)
-- Vsync "let the 3d application decide:
Benchmark 1080p noise / 2 layers / ~20fps / Gpu load 20% (low clock speed)
-- Vsync ON:
I can Load the Comp and got 20Fps allready (no outout selected)

Is that on your Laptop: XMG P503 // Intel i7-4800 / GTX-770m / 256 SSD / 16gb RAM?

This would indicate there's something more going on than just vsync. Thanks for digging deeper, sometimes it's hard to diagnose these things without having exact figures to work with.
Could you please drop us a mail, we'll need your help testing this further.
