But how do I connect that to my Laptop...? What kind of cable is that...? So maybe version 2.0 is more suitable for me...?

you need a firewire cable to connect your camera to your computer, then you shouldnt need to install any drivers, windows will do that for you. then in resolume it will show up as an input.

you will be able to record while having it play in resolume.

Yesterday I had connected the camera to resolume using USB. It also worked, but there was quite a deley. Well, not really a delay, but, how do you say that...no smooth filming...

For Firewire I should buy a PCI-card or something I guess, but will the filming be "quicker" you think? Would be great...

And disconnecting and reconnecting is only available in version 2.0 you say, if I use that one, what will I miss?

I'm not sure what version it was, it may even have been a 1.x version. I only remember there was a version once where I could disconnect then reconnect the camera to resolume with firewire. Just stick to 2.3.

If your bothered about disconnecting and reconnecting get a tv-card and use analogue capture

I just found out that it's easier to connect the camera to a tv-capture card (if you have one) that to connect it via firewire, because if its connected to a tv-card, you can turn your camera on and off without problems, as long as the tv-card stays active

Is there a way to reduce the live video lag on Res?? Hardware of software?

the lag comes from the fire wire, if you have a TV cature card there is very minimal lag

then you use the RCA out of teh camera into the input of your TV capture card, or S video is better if you can.

are all tv and video cards (including cheaper ones) compatible with Res? Can you recommend any specific one or brand. There R soooo many.

connected to my live camera (HDMI) and I would like to use this as input in Resolume but my capture device doesn't appear in my Sources list.

Can someone help me ?
