I can't believe that some blokes are so worried aboute the color pink...I think one of the strenths of Resolume is the clarity and simplicity of it's interface design, a nice bold color like pink will highlight important areas more clearly...

Keep the pink! The contrast is great and who cares if you lose a few homophobic customers because of it?


Maybe you should do a 'real mans' version in camo colours - everything would be hard to make out as it would be in browns and dark greens, but at least those who want to be macho would not have to hide their screens

Or maybe you could do customised versions for an extra cost.

i dont have a problem with the coulor pink or with gay peolple,and i dont care what other people see on my screen. but i just dont like the combination of colours,but i would be willing to pay an extra "supplement" for a more subtle colour combination.....how about resolume 1.5 coulors?

Sorry Ecin, I didn't mean to offend or be in any way derogatory to anyone based on sexual orientation. I was refering to the colour pink in a design sense, I believe the the designer knew that by using these colours they were likely to cause some "controversy" as the pink/black combo is pretty much 'love it or hate it'.
We love the functionalityof resolume as much as anyone on this forum and look forward to the new version of resolume whatever colour it ends up being. However like many others in the user base we're just not keen on the new colours.
The controversy has however raised the profile of "what do people think?" - post your opinion...
...we would be happy to pay a supplement for colour perferences, however would prefer to see the cost built into the price of the upgrade.

Black and grey aren't really colours, so no, they are not complementary (sic) to Pink. Lime is complimentary to Pink. Complimentary means "opposite", not "harmonious". Complimentary colours should not be used liberally together unless you want to make people feel ill.
The colour here is used for DESIGN not DECORATION, the idea being pink will show up brightly and clash violently with whatever gorgeous blue/yellow/red/green footage you have in there. Clashing is good in this instance because this software is a tool, not a fashionable motor vehicle.
Gayness is in the eye and mind of the beholder.

i'd rather have a reliable soft (which we have), easy of use (which we have) and the ability to amaze other vjs who ask "how do you do that" (which we have)......
