Lost all my effect setting after upgrading 4.0.8 to 4.1.8

Hey everyone!
I recently upgraded Resolume from an early 4.0.8 release to 4.1.8 and was shocked to see all Layer/Global effects have vanished. However, the effects assigned to individual clips are still there... Anyone has an idea how that could have happened?

Are you talking about VFX that you added to your collection or the VFX that come with Resolume?

Both kinds of effects are gone!

Is there more than one resolume folder in your documents folder?

when starting an other resolume version, the vfx paths you added to preferences get overwritten with the defaults for the current version vfx path.
you have to re add the costom paths, then if you restart resolume and open your composition files the fx should be there.
of course if you overwrote the composition without the fxs this might not work.
you lose the settings on every start of a different version.
