quartz composer loses settings

Whenever I move a composition to a different machine and I relink the media, any quartz composer patches that were in it lose their settings. For example, if I had an input in the quartz patch that was linked to BPM I have to relink it. This is ok for simple patches but sometimes there can be quite a few inputs to relink to a lot of parameters with their respective limits etc which besides being tedious to reconnect requires an extraordinary memory!

Ah yes. I can see how that can get really annoying after a while. We'll see what we can do...

Hi,
have the same problem. I use a setup with QC patches controlled by DMX. When opening the composition on a different machine all the DMX mapping is removed. Any workaround on this or do I have to wait for a update?
Thanks Tilo

Hey guys,
the problem is still existing in R4 & R5. Also when i want to copy or move a quartz composer file within a comp near all settings will loose their information or get unlink from timeline/BPM and so on. Are there any solutions how to fix it?

best regards
Pascal

I just doublechecked this on Arena 5/Avenue 4.5.

All dashboard, timeline, BPM and other animation settings for QC files are maintained after moving, copying and relocating.

Are you sure you are running Arena 5 or Avenue 4.5?

Yes I'm running Arena 5 but I think I found a solution for my problem...When the qc files have more than one published inputs with the same name the settings will only apply for one of all. I will check this but I think that's it...sorry for going on your nerves
