Hi

i would like to create unity or flash games and run them in a PC then use a
secondary Machine probably a Mac with resolume installed to do the mapping over structures

how would you suggest to take the pc desktop video and send it to the mac in real time ?

i mean i know its posible with software (capture video screen and send via network) but i prefer a hardware solution to avoid performance issues,
im thinking in something like grabbing the hdmi output from the pc and grab it with some capture device into the mac but i do not know how or what hardware and if capture device is resolume compatible.

any idea ?

Hey there...
you maybe have a look on this:
Magewell HDMI

But also the capture products from Blackmagic are working fine with Resolume.

+1 what cosmowe said, by far the easiest and most stable solution.

If you have the means and want to be able to send larger comps I would get the BMD UltraStudio 4K for laptop or desktop (thunderbolt) or BMD DeckLink Studio 4K for desktop only (Pcie).

If you don't need to capture HD-SDI, the BMD Intensity Extreme (thunderbolt) or BMD Intensity Pro (Pcie) are great and also more affordable.

And if you want to use USB3 the Magewell HDMI or BMD Intensity Shuttle are great options.

Those devices look awesome,

i guess i will go for the brand(BMD) but magewell looks very good aswell.

i have this idea of creating an interactive video mapping using kinect or leapmotion so

i will give it a try with this setup (pc to mac) .

thanks !
